The Under 10’s Sub Group currently meets four times a year. Membership for the group consists of organisations that are raising awareness of and taking forward work which supports and promotes the development of capacity and practice to ensure the full participation of children aged 0-10 in their sector, organisation or local authority area. Members with a strategic interest in developing work to promote the full participation of children under 10 also attend.
The Under 10’s sub group taken on the role of championing to participation of children under 10 in a range of settings and meetings, and lobby for further development, recognition and funding as appropriate. The sub group has also worked to identify current notable practice and share new and emerging ideas, and to identify gaps in current services.

- Sticker book for under 10s
- Standards info for 0-10s – kites, crayons, colouring books, parachute games
- Blast Off! Good Practice Guide on 0-10s
- Training on 0-10s participation
- Resources for Change report on 0-10s participation
The Under 10’s Sub Group currently has a number of priorities that members are working on with the Participation Unit:
- Development of training programme for practitioners who work with children aged up to 5.
- Development of a DVD to promote the participation standards for children aged under 10.
